Kids Programs

Young Sprouts
This five-session quarterly program for preschoolers is a fun introduction to the Atlanta Botanical Garden for children ages 3-5 and their parents. Activities include storytelling, hands-on projects and rambles in the Garden.

Drop-In Kids Classes
Throughout the year, the Atlanta Botanical Garden offers drop-in classes for children and their families.

Amphitheater Programs
Saturday mornings April-July and September-October in the Children's Garden Amphitheater.

Kids Camps

The Atlanta Botanical Garden offers several day camp programs for children ages 4-12. Each camp session is designed to be both fun and educational, and to integrate hands-on classroom activities with nature exploration in the Garden and the Fuqua Conservatory.

Spring Kids Camp
Earth Day Spring Break Camp
April 7 - 8 | 9 a.m. - noon | Ages 4 - 6
April 10 - 11 | 9 a.m. - noon | Ages 6 - 8

Looking for a fun and engaging Spring Break activity for the kids?
Register today for this two-day experience filled with exploration and discovery! The integration of classroom activities with nature encounters in the Garden makes this camp an excellent way to learn something new while enjoying the outdoors.

Summer Kids Camp
Environmental Summer Day Camp is a stimulating summer experience for children ages 4-10 packed with discovery, adventure and nature exploration. Each day campers will participate in fun activities in the classroom, as well as the Children's Garden, the Gardens Under Glass, and the Outdoor Gardens. Children will be immersed in the natural world through stories, games, experiments and arts and crafts.

Sprouting Scientists | Ages 4-6
The Garden becomes the campers' laboratory as they discover birds, botany, bugs and frogs.  Campers will be introduced to the world of ecology through hands on exploration, arts and crafts and games.  This session is a great introduction to the natural world.

Adventures in the Garden | Ages 7 & 8

Rainforest scavenger hunts, seedling discoveries, desert plant dissections and amphibian encounters will be only a few of the adventures the campers will experience as they explore the garden and investigate how plants and animals live in extreme environments.

Garden Safari| Ages 9 & 10
This exotic adventure will introduce campers to lush rainforests, prickly deserts, soggy bogs and their own backyards.  During the journey they will discover the exceptional ways plants and animals survive in diverse habitats.  Campers should come prepared to explore, dig in the dirt and play in the Garden.

Camp sessions are limited to 21 children.
- Campers ages 7 - 10 are responsible for bringing a sack lunch and beverage each day. 
- Each camper will receive a T-shirt.
