Alston Lecture
"Gardening With Personality: Finding Your Garden Style" presented by Dan Benarcik, horticulturist at Chanticleer: A Pleasure Garden
Date: Wednesday, June 4
Time: 7:30 p.m.
You can determine, build and refine your own garden style. Join us for this special presentation, filled with images that will inspire you to better define your own garden personality. Seasoned veterans and gardening novices alike will learn how to make more interesting and exciting garden experiences. Non-horticultural design concepts such as furniture and artifacts to compliment the garden will also be featured. Dan will include the essentials to tailor your garden to better adapt to the challenges of southern gardening, and to look its best, even during a drought.
Dan Benarcik is a horticulturist at Chanticleer Garden, an innovative garden in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He oversees the tropical garden, with a concentration on tropical, sub-tropical and tender perennials for seasonal display. Dan has also worked as the woodspath gardener at the Mount Cuba Center. The Philip and Elkin Alston Lecture series is made possible through the generous support of the Charles Loridans Foundation. Admission to the lecture is free and no reservations are required.
