Garden of Eden Ball

Seed, Blossom, Fruit

Saturday, September 24
6:30 p.m.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Garden of Eden Ball, the Garden’s largest annual fund-raiser. The black-tie gala has come a long way since its early days in a tent in a former parking lot that’s now the popular Edible Garden.

This year’s theme – Seed, Blossom, Fruit – is an appropriate botanical metaphor for the leadership and support provided by this year’s 12 honorees. These “seeds” are special individuals who gave their time, talent and treasure in the Garden’s early years to create a community resource enjoyed today and by future generations.

Dina Woodruff is chairing the September 24 gala and Parties to Die For once again will transform a simple tent into a glorious ballroom. The evening will include cocktails, seated dinner and dancing to the Atlanta Showstoppers.

For an invitation to the Ball, contact Christina Williams at cwilliams@atlantabotanicalgarden.org or 404.591.1537.

The gala begins at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails along the Canopy Walk, followed at 8 by a seated dinner under the tent. Guests will round out their evening with a silent auction and dancing to live music performed by Simply Irresistible. Honorary chairs for the ball, which traditionally draws more than 400 guests, are David and Elizabeth Martin, longtime supporters of the Garden.

Tickets are $450. To order, call 404-591-1575.
