Designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead, Jr. like Central Park in New York City, Piedmont Park adjoins the Atlanta Botanical Garden to the north and east. Comprised of 185 acres, Atlanta's "green heart" is the most heavily used public park in the City of Atlanta and is three miles from the city center.
