Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory

The Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory at the Atlanta Botanical Garden opened in March 1989 as a result of a generous gift from Atlanta businessman J.B. Fuqua in honor of his wife. The Fuqua Conservatory displays plants in tropical and desert environments, and priority is given to plants that are rare, threatened or endangered.

Permanent displays focus on plant diversity, ecological principles, conservation and adaptations to specific environments with an emphasis on education. The Fuqua Conservatory is divided into five display areas: Main Lobby, Tropical Rotunda, Desert House, Special Exhibits and Orangerie.
