In 2008, the Atlanta Botanical Garden once again showcased fine contemporary art in an extraordinary garden setting. Sculpture in Motion, Art Choreographed by Nature was the most extensive survey of outdoor kinetic art thus far and  far, and featured 32 medium and large scale outdoor kinetic sculptures. David Rogers' Big Bugs & Killer Plants

In 2007, the buzz began when enormous insects sculpted from wood thrilled visitors. David Rogers' Big Bugs popular exhibition provided a fun perspective on insect predators, pollinators and beneficial critters.  More Information

Orchid Daze with Fräbel: Glass Impressions

The Garden's annual orchid exhibition, themed differently each year, collaborated with Fräbel Studio in 2007. Orchid Daze with Fräbel integrated the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s world-renowned orchid collection with the spectacularly detailed sculptures of internationally acclaimed artist and Atlanta resident Hans Godo Fräbel.  More Information

Niki in the Garden

Niki in the Garden, presented by Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., at the Atlanta Botanical Garden was the world's largest exhibition of internationally renowned artist Niki de Saint Phalle's outdoor sculptures ever presented. On the scale of Chihuly in the Garden in 2004, this spectacular exhibition featured Saint Phalle's imaginative, monumental artwork beautifully displayed throughout the Garden. More Information

Chihuly in the Garden

In 2004, Atlanta Botanical Garden Executive Director Mary Pat Matheson secured the most prestigious exhibit in the Atlanta Botanical Garden's history, Chihuly in the Garden. An exhibition of 50 original glass sculptures by internationally renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly were on display at the Atlanta Botanical Garden from May 1-Oct. 31, with an extended run through Dec. 31, 2004. The nine-month blockbuster exhibition, sponsored by Target Stores, brought the Atlanta Botanical Garden to the forefront of cultural tourism in the Southeast. More Information

Locomotion in the Garden

All aboard for the Atlanta Botanical Garden! In 2005, "Locomotion in the Garden, Trains Across Georgia" presented by Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. was a spectacular installation of enchanting views with recognizable Atlanta and Georgia landmarks sculpted from natural materials. Miniature garden railways set the scene for this enchanting exhibit of model trains riding through dramatic mountains and valleys, over bridges and into a bustling city.

Scarecrows in the Garden

The annual Scarecrows in the Garden delights visitors every October with imaginative scarecrows on display throughout the Garden. Targeted toward children and families, a blend of activities such as storytelling and crafts occurs every weekend. Children also enjoy the annual celebration of Goblins in the Garden, a children's costume party.  More Information

TREEmendous TREEhouses

TREEmendous TREEhouses, a major regional outdoor exhibit at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, ran June 1-September 28, 2003. This blockbuster exhibit featured 12 custom-designed, interactive, fantasy tree houses that stretched the definition of the classic tree house and sparked the imagination of young and old alike.  More Information
