The classes at the Atlanta Botanical Garden offer as much variety as does
the Garden itself.
Children's classes offer a a fun mix of plant topics like natural dying and gourd craft.
The Garden also offers adult classes that range from the artistic, like floral design
and watercolor painting, to hands-on practical gardening workshops.
Many noted environmental and horticultural experts hold lectures at the Garden throughout the year.

Family Vegetable Garden

Introduce your child to the amazing and gratifying experience of growing nutritious food! Youngsters will be amazed at how a small tomato seed grows into a healthy plant with delicious tomatoes. Attend this hands-on class with your child and learn the techniques for basic edible gardening and start your very own summer garden seeds. Each family will take home a complete summer edible garden to grow into healthy, scrumptious food.
Fee: $40 (Members $35), One adult and up to two children age 6-18

Vanilla Sunday

Explore the wonders of the vanilla orchid during Orchid Daze: Towers of Flowers in the stunning Fuqua Orchid Center. Learn about the origins of vanilla, enjoy the different aromas of vanilla beans produced world-wide and create a delicious vanilla sundae.
Catch a cooking demonstration with vanilla products by Chef Ryan Cobb at 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.

Spring Break Camp

Create delicious and nutritious treats in the Edible Garden's outdoor

In addition to cooking in the Garden, campers will create artwork with edible products, play games and learn about the origins of food.

From the soil to the treetops, campers will explore different elements of a temperate forest, desert and rainforest. During this Summer Camp 2010 session, campers will walk through the forest canopy, investigate the tropical rainforest and create art in the woods. Each camper should come prepared for an outdoor adventure full of fun and excitement.
