Imaginary Worlds

Plants Larger Than Life

May – October

Be enchanted by a magical garden where cobras tower overhead, fish dance on water, and a giant goddess emerges from the earth. Hundreds of thousands of plants come together to form 19 fantastic living sculptures in the first major exhibition by International Mosaiculture of Montreal© to be shown in the United States. Endangered Species Day

The national Endangered Species Day began in 2006 to increase public understanding of recovery efforts for endangered plants and animals. Visit the Garden for a day celebrating rare plants and animals.

Science Cafe

The Science Cafe returns this spring as an "Art and Science Cafe" during Cocktails in the Garden for a series of discussions that will explore the unique and innovative ways that artists and scientists work together.

Educator Night

Thursday, July 18
6 - 10 p.m.

For one night only, educators receive free admission to Cocktails in the Garden! Explore Imaginary Worlds, stroll the Canopy Walk, experience habitats and frog calls in the Fuqua Conservatory, watch a cooking demonstration in the Outdoor Kitchen and relax with fellow educators. More Information

Take a humorous and informative tour of the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden's Trial Program with the fast-talking and funny Jimmy Turner Sr., the Director of the Gardens. noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Meet in the Edible Garden to watch as the Garden Chef prepares mouthwatering recipes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Free with Garden admission.

Garden of Eden Ball

The Garden of Eden Ball is the Garden’s largest annual fund-raiser. The black-tie gala has come a long way since its early days in a tent in a former parking lot that’s now the popular Edible Garden.
