Metro Atlanta Amphibians

Metro Atlanta Amphibians

Tuesday, October 7
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Did you know there are 30 documented species of amphibians living in and around our Atlanta neighborhoods? Learn how to identify the amphibian species hiding under the rocks, logs and in the water all around us. Anyone interested in local frogs and salamanders, and learning how to identify frog calls is encouraged to attend.

Participants also learn how to participate in a Metro Atlanta Amphibian Monitoring Program initiated by the Garden in response to global amphibian declines. Those interested in helping make a difference with the urban amphibian community can get involved in the surveys.
